Jonathan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida and also holds a National Certified Counselor credential. In addition, he has devoted his life’s work to supporting individuals and families from all walks of life. Jonathan holds advanced and specialized training in Couple’s and Family Therapy. As a man committed to ongoing learning and professional growth, he holds Graduate Degrees in Counseling, Couples and Family Therapy, along with a Masters of Divinity. Jonathan has committed himself to becoming an expert in his professional discipline and is currently completing his PhD in Counselor Education which has provided him with the advanced knowledge and skills in delivering Clinical Services, Training and Education, Clinical Supervision, and Leadership in the field of Mental Health. Jonathan has been intensively trained through the Linehan Institute in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). He is also trained by the Telehealth Certification Institute and credentialed through The Center for Credentialing & Education in delivering online distance counseling.

Jonathan’s approach to counseling is driven by the strengths, abilities, and needs of his clients. Understanding what is preventing his client’s from experiencing emotional wellness, achieving success, or gaining satisfaction in their relationships is the first step in the counseling process. Jonathan then fuses his client’s strengths and abilities with the most innovative and evidenced based counseling approaches. Each client, family, or couple is inherently unique and distinct. As such, Jonathan applies and Integrative Approach to providing counseling interventions, techniques, or styles with his clients. This Integrative Approach always includes and is informed by his client’s strengths and goals for counseling.
